Eating healthily whilst eating gluten free... this is something that has bugged me for awhile. Why is it that a lot of gluten free products substitute gluten flours for sugar!? I have had my fair share of gluten free treats that are absolutely LOADED with sugar (before I went refined sugar free too) - so much so that one can't actually taste the actual flavour of the goodies, just the sugar!
Whilst sugar is certainly delicious, addictive, and fine in small quantities on rare occassions, it's by no means a good or healthy substitute for gluten flours in baking. The same goes for rice flour
